Frank Langella Out at Netflix’s ‘Fall of the House of Usher’ – The Srdtf News

Frank Langella is no longer involved in Netflix’s upcoming limited series The Fall of the House of Usher following an investigation into his alleged misconduct on set, The Srdtf News has confirmed.

Langella, who earned a best actor Oscar nomination for 2008’s Frost/Nixon, was set to play Roderick Usher in the streamer’s forthcoming limited series inspired by multiple Edgar Allan Poe tales.

The investigation was completed with the series midway through production, meaning the actor’s role will be recast, and footage of Langella will not be used.

Netflix declined to respond to a request for comment. Deadline was first to report Langella’s exit.

The project hails from the Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass team of Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy. Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell and Carl Lumbly are among the previously announced cast members.
