As a result, your permanent storage performs the same functions as RAM. Of course, this workaround is most effective if you don’t have enough RAM, but even with 16 GB of RAM, I observed a significant improvement.
To increase virtual memory on Windows, follow these steps:
Activate the Control Panel.
Go to the System tab.
Select Advanced system settings from the left-hand menu.
Go to the Advanced tab and select Settings under Performance from the drop-down menu.
Click on the Advanced tab, then Change under Virtual memory.
Disable Manage the paging file size for all drivers automatically.
Choose Custom size and enter 1.5x the size of your RAM in both Initial and Maximum sizes. It must be written in MB, not GB (1 GB is 1024 MB). For example, for 16 GB of RAM, I entered 24576.
Carry on with the rest of your drives in the same way.
